The recent annual Postbridge Dog Show was a great success again this year.

Held in the picnic field next to the famous clapper bridge, the show attracted dogs and their families from a wide area to compete in 15 classes. There was also a car boot sale, raffle, tombola and bacon rolls on sale in the field and plenty of ice creams and other goodies from the Post Office Stores opposite.

The weather was ideal with long sunny spells for family picnics around the ring with the odd cloud to make it more comfortable for the dogs so they didn’t need to spoil their grooming by going for a dip in the river.

Run jointly by the Rotary Club of Yelverton and the Cinnamon Trust, a total of £570 was raised for charity, not bad when the main aim was to have fun!

The Rotary Club expressed thanks to Laura Coleridge Wood who judged all the classes, to Julian Greatrex and Michele Brusey who did the organising, and to the sponsors for donating prizes.

On completion of the show the Rotary Club of Yelverton presented bouquets of flowers to Laura Coleridge Wood and Michele Brusey in recognition of their hard work.
