DUCHY College at Stoke Climsland is looking for different breeds of dogs to be pampered in the college's state-of-the-art dog grooming parlour to enable animal management students to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience of dog grooming.

Students studying animal management courses at the college are able to try their hand at dog grooming with expert staff in the dog grooming parlour 'Posh Paws'.

In order for the students to gain experience and practice their skills, a range of dog breeds with different coat types including springer and cocker spaniels, Bichons, poodles, fox terriers, Bedlington terriers, lakeland and Cairn terriers, Sealyham terriers, Westies, Scotties and Schnauzers are needed.

Curriculum area manager for animal management and veterinary nursing Carol Knight explained: 'Dog grooming a range of breeds helps the students to develop their skills in correct preparation, trimming and clipping, while promoting the health of their canine customers.

'The facilities we have at Duchy College are outstanding and the students really enjoy working with a variety of breeds.'

Anyone interested in giving their dog a pamper should contact the college on 01579 372233.

There will be a small charge for each dog depending on their size.
