Penisula South Western League division one Callington Town 1 Penryn Athletic 4 PENRYN took maximum advantage of the defensive generosity of Callington as they racked up a 4-1 victory at a misty Ginsters Marshfield Parc. Dave Rabone was first to react to some poor Town defending to give the visitors a 12th minute lead with a shot on the turn. Callington were level six minutes later when Richard Channing fired home his third of the season after his brother Mark and Dan Discombe had set up the opportunity. A mad three minute spell just before half time gave Penryn a two goal lead at the break. First Town defender Lee Murphy fired past his own keeper and then, just 90 seconds later, Dale Bend pounced on some more poor defending to extend the visitors? lead. Callington upped their game after the break but could not break down the Athletic defence and paid for their pushing upfield on 85 minutes when Dean Harris, headed home at the second attempt to complete the scoring.
