POOL players at the Tavistock Inn in Tavistock had the chance to pit their skills last week against one of the big professional names in their sport, when the UK's most successful eight ball player of all time.

Keith Brewer has won more than 500 titles including five British, two British Open as well as European and European Professional titles on Sky TV.

He also commentates on Sky TV and is one of the busiest pro players on the circuit with his unique Pool Lottery exhibition.

Twenty pool players from the Tavistock Inn were hand picked to play Keith in a game of pool for the chance to win a lottery ticket for the top prize of a car, a trip to France with spending money, a Supreme pool table and other prizes.  

The top ten players were then given the opportunity to pick 6 balls from a choice of 21.  Keith then potted 7 balls and if a player matched the balls potted they would then win a prize, sadly the only prize won was a case of lager.

Several players came very close to beating Keith on the night but only Mike Bird of Condor Therapies beat the master - Mike played a superb game and consequently came out top. 

After the event had finished Keith was very sporting in joining in a game of killer with all those involved.
