Tavistock Ladies Seconds 3

Callington Ladies 0

FOLLOWING last week's strong win, Tavistock seconds hockey team rested a few key players. Although Tavistock dominated possession from the start, new combinations meant they made a number of unforced errors.

Bott made some incisive runs down the right wing, linking well with Court in midfield. Callard played well in defence, often taking the ball cleanly from the opposition.

Tavistock's break came from a clean strike from Smallacombe just inside the D. The home side came out from the break hoping to put together a more fluid game.

The second goal  came after repeated infringements from the away team led to a succession of short corners, from one of which Firth doubled Tavistock's lead. The third and final goal came when yet another short corner was struck hard for Pollock to score the rebound. The match then petered out into a midfield tussle with no further scoring chances for either side.
