THE result of the election for Tavistock Town Council (north ward) on August 2 saw Ursula Forhan Mann, independent, elected with 381 of the votes.

Overall turnout of the election was only 18.5% of the 3,721 electorate turning out to cast their vote.

Helen Louise Stone, Labour, was in second place with 193 of the votes, followed by Stephen Mark Brennan with 110 votes.
