CALLINGTON police believe crimes which involved the theft of equipment from white vans in the town and Gunnislake are linked. In the first incident, a disc cutter and a Honda generator were stolen from a van parked in Edgecumbe Way, Gunnislake, between June 29 and July 2. The crime number is BN/07/389. In Westover Road, Callington, £800 of property, including two Hilti hammer drills, a jigsaw and a Samsung pink mobile phone, were stolen from a white van between June 19 and July 2. The crime number is BN/07/391. Police are also appealing for witnesses to criminal damage at the Quay in Calstock on July 6 between 11.10pm and 11.30pm when a window was smashed, causing £300 worth of damage. The crime number is BN/07/395. A window of a green Ford Mondeo was smashed between 10pm on July 7 and 8.30am the following day at Porthmellon Gardens, Callington. The crime number is BN/07/396.
