A DEVON and Cornwall policewoman has appeared in court charged with covering up an arrest and hiding an offensive weapon on Dartmoor.
The 35-year-old is accused of intending to pervert the course of public justice at Meldon, Devon, in November 2011 — namely 'concealing an arrest and an offensive weapon'.
She is also charged with wilfully misconducting herself by carrying out the alleged acts while acting as a police officer.
The case was sent to crown court and Cohen was bailed until later this month when she will appear before a judge. She did not enter any pleas.
A force spokesman said:'Devon and Cornwall Police Professional Standards Department are carrying out a criminal investigation supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) into the conduct of a police constable who is stationed in Cornwall.
'The officer is currently suspended from duty.'
