POLICE in Moretonhampstead are appealing for the help of the public and local community to trace a man who has not been seen in the area for almost two years. Carlton Twittey, 44, was last seen in Morehampstead during the autumn of 2004, where he had been living locally. Police have established that he then moved to bed and breakfast accommodation in Newquay, which he vacated during the spring of 2005. Carlton has not contacted his family or friends since that time, and officers want to ensure that he is safe and well. Carlton is described as a white man, approximately six feet one in height, of slim build with short brown coloured hair. He has a slight Australian accent and is possibly wearing an ear stud. Carlton is usually clean shaven but has worn a beard on occasions. Officers want to hear from anyone who has information regarding Carlton or knows of his whereabouts or from Carlton himself, so that his welfare can be ascertained.
