AN EAST Cornwall mother who sustained serious head and leg injuries in a suspected hit-and-run accident six-weeks ago has been speaking to police for the first time this week.
Kate Rackstraw, 23, has remained at Derriford Hospital since the July 25 ordeal, but could not previously speak to detectives because of her poor state of health.
Investigating officers reported that, as yet, she has been unable to recall details of the incident but they are hopeful that further forensic tests may provide police with a lead.
