POLICE were called to three separate, sudden and unexpected deaths in the Tavistock area over last week.

A male in his 30s, a Spanish national who was working in West Devon, was found dead at his lodging in Chillaton.

On Saturday, September 23 a male in his 30s collapsed and fell in Plymouth Road, in Tavistock while another local man in his 60s collapsed while at the allotments at Butchers Hill.

The police are not treating any of these deaths as suspicious.

DS Bev Havis said: ‘It is always so sad for the families and as a local service within the community, we understand the impact it has on so many people.

‘DC Mike Lugger was the detective constable over the weekend, but as a whole team we send our deepest sympathies to all the deceased’s family and friends.’
