THE Friends of St Peter's Church Meavy, a small group of local people who support the ancient building, are welcoming members of Plymouth Area Police choir for this year's concert in aid of the church. 

Up to 40 members of the choir, with guest soloist Kate Walker, will perform from 7.30pm on Thursday December 8 in St Peter's Church.

Drinks and light refreshments will be served during the interval. Tickets are £5 per person in advance from either Bookstop in Tavistock or Douglas Henderson on 01822 855383.
