POLICE believe two young children may be able to help with their enquiries into a double fatal road accident which happened near Highampton a fortnight ago. Police would like to speak to two children who were seen leading a pony along the road towards Hatherleigh and may have witnessed the crash. The children were seen by a lorry driver who stopped at the scene. MPC John Baldwin at the Launceston traffic centre said: ?We understand both the children were on foot and leading this small pony along the road. ?I?d really like to speak to these youngsters as they may have information that could help our investigation.? William, 73, and Anita Coyte, 70, from Highampton both died in a collision with another car on the A3072 shortly before 4pm on February 6. The female driver of the other car was later released from hospital. MPC Baldwin can be contacted on 08452 777444.
