POLICE are investigating how a man died outside a house in Bere Alston.

Officers were called to Pentillie Road just after 6.20pm on Monday, following reports of a man with serious injuries outside a property.

Paramedics were also called but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the death of the man, understood to be in his late 20s, was being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and they are not looking for anyone in connection with the incident.

The man has not been named and no cause of death has been given. The case has been referred to the coroner and police are gathering information on the circumstances of the man's death in advance of an inquest.
