OKEHAMPTON police are working with three local primary schools to run a campaign raising awareness about dog fouling. Children from the three primary schools will create posters teaching people to clear up after their dogs for a competition being run as part of the campaign. Dog fouling continues to be an issue around the whole of Okehampton. Dog owners are reminded to always carry plastic bags with them when walking their dog in town, and are asked to clear up their dog mess and dispose of it responsibly in one of the many dog bins and litter bins around the town. Keep an eye out in the Times for more information on the campaign in coming weeks.
