JOCKEY Michael Heard from Meldon near Okehampton had his first point to point win at Wadebridge on Saturday.
Michael, aged 16, rode his family's horse Charming Gael which is trained at Hughslade Farm by his father John Heard.
He has had 15 rides for his dad last season and is very much looking forward to the rest of this season with great prospects ahead!
Michael left Okehampton College last summer after his exams and moved to Ditcheat in Somerset to work for champion trainer Paul Nicholls.
