AFTER a short break due to snow Tavistock and Newquay started the new year off nicely with an emphatic win over Liskeard.
Tavistock and Newquay notched up this score in less than half an hour as they had to play 13 minutes each way as they were playing sevens.
The home side were quickly on the score sheet and tries kept coming due to the great off loading and teamwork. There were good tries from Alice, Charlie, Kayleigh and Alex and these were well set up by the rest of the team.
Tavistock and Newquay's off loading was good by dragging in the Liskeard defence so they could pass out wide to score more tries.
Although Liskeard were trailing by the start of the second half this did not stop them putting in some great tackles and making some runs.
There was great teamwork by Tavistock and Newquay and good play by both teams.
This win sets Tavistock and Newquay in a good position in the league and their unbeaten record.
