Horrabridge Rangers 0

St Cleer Youth 2

HORRABRIDGE had plenty of possession in this game but created few chances and were made to pay by a stubborn St Cleer side. The first half was an even encounter and although Horrabridge had the lion's share of possession, they did not manage to test the visiting goalkeeper. St Cleer created one or two chances, but home keeper Oliver Cox was always equal to the task, saving comfortably.

The home side started the second half with a bit more urgency, and with Max Burgess and Jake Murrain pulling the strings in midfield, started to create some good chances, Courtney Fry heading just over from a Burgess corner. Burgess just missed with a well-struck free-kick from 30 yards.

St Cleer took the lead after 50 minutes when they countered a Horrabridge attack and Vie scored with a good stroke from 20 yards. Horrabridge continued to pass the ball well and were dominating the game, but St Cleer defended boldly and managed to keep Horrabridge to a nil score.

Horrabridge nearly found an equaliser with five minutes of the game remaining, when Jack Northam did well to beat two defenders and fire inches wide from a tight angle.

St Cleer added a second goal right at the death when Moran scored from 12 yards.

Man of the match was Jake Murrain.
