SCHOOL summer holidays are upon us again and every school child in West Devon has been given a booklet called West Devon Play Forum Summer Play Directory 2010.

It is packed with great ideas for the holidays. Copies are also available in libraries, children's centres, leisure centres and Tourist Information Centres.

With more than 30 different providers listed, there is something for everyone during the holidays. From workshops on brass and woodwind instruments, to football camps, youngsters can learn to play golf or tennis, attend a two-day residential drama camp, go climbing or take part in craft and art activities.

If the weather turns to rain, Devon Libraries in Tavistock, Okehampton and Princetown are holding themed events as part of the Space Hop - Summer reading challenge.
