HILARITY in the bedroom will serve up the laughs at the next production by North Tawton's amateur actors.
ANTS present Alan Ayckbourn's comedy 'Bedroom Farce' at North Tawton Town Hall from Thursday September 3 to Saturday September 5.
The play is directed by Nigel Davies, who also appears in the cast alongside Marion Pratt, Anthony Morris, Carri Gadd, Paul Reed, Tracey Norman, Simon Ward and Anna Field.
The story revolves around a housewarming party being thrown by fun loving couple Malcolm and Kate.
Unfortunately, they make the mistake of inviting Trevor and Susannah, who are having marital difficulties. Trevor's ex, Jan, comes along on her own as her husband, Nick, is bed-ridden with a bad back. Needless to say it doesn't go to plan, with Trevor ruining the party.
The action takes place in the bedrooms of Malcolm and Kate, Jan and Nick and Trevor's parents Ernest and Delia, who like nothing more than sardines on toast in bed!
Said Nigel: 'There has been an awful lot of laughter during rehearsals, which is always a good sign.
'The staging of three different bedrooms has been a challenge, but it makes for a fast moving, yet intimate performance and will be great fun for the audience, I'm sure.'
Tickets, £6 (adults) and £4 (children 14 and under), are available in advance from North Tawton Post Office or on the door.
