LAMERTON Summer Fair went off with a bang last weekend ? despite a soggy start.
After finding preparations hampered by rain all morning, organisers were pleased to welcome the sun for the afternoon opening.
Visitors were greeted by a keyless showman?s organ while line-dancers hot-stepped the afternoon away with accompaniment from the Bobble Hats Band.
There were stalls and children?s games aplenty, as well as a football tournament in which nine teams competed for the senior and junior titles, won respectively by Lamerton C and a local junior side.
The lucky programme number was 179 ? the winner is asked to call 01822 614990 to claim their £5 prize.
Lamerton School, Pre-school and Hall Project thanked everyone who helped organise the day, exhibitors of vintage vehicles, Ottery Press, Orchard Electrical and the Round Table for loan of equipment, as well as many other local businesses for their support.
