OKEHAMPTON Library will be offering several special events and competitions for children in the run up to Christmas. There will be a postbox in the library and children can post their letters to Father Christmas and on their next visit can collect a reply.
An after-school Christmas card making activity will take place on December 13 from 4-5pm with lots of new ideas and a chance to design a card using the computer.
This activity is aimed at children aged 5-10 and there will be a session for parents with pre-school children on December 17 from 2-3pm. These children will also be treated to a special Christmas Storytime on December 20. Little ones aged 3-7 can pick up a colouring sheet from the library and enter a competition to win a soft toy based on the characters in books by Julia Sykes.
