ON a beautiful summer's day, six teams met to compete for the West Devon Champioship T20 trophy sponsored by Kaminski Property Rentals.

There were some close fought matches at the Ring, Tavistock, none more so than when the Ordulph Abbots beat Sticklepath, having required 17 off the final over and winning with two balls to spare.

However, the final between Lydford and Calstock resulted in a comfortable Calstock win.

Tavistock Cricket Club chairman Andy Jarman expressed his thanks to the many helpers whose hard work contributed to the success of the day which was enjoyed by many spectators.

Calstock will now go forward to the premiership round to be played on Sunday, July 10.
