CAN you keep our cups in the town hall? That is the request from Okehampton and District Agricultural Association which is seeking help from the town council in providing a safe home for its valuable silverware.
Chairman of Okehampton Town Council?s property committee Stan Stormont told members on Monday that because of the value of some trophies owners were reluctant to take them home.
Cllr Perry Vallance said the council should check with its insurers as to suitable cover if they displayed another organisation?s silverware.
It was agreed to keep them in a cabinet which is due to arrive in February and when a rent may be discussed with the association.
