CALLINGTON Town Council encouraged residents of the town to report crimes — no matter how minor — to police, at a meeting of the full council this week. Cllr Jeremy Gist told the meeting on Tuesday that if crimes are not reported, the town may not get the police coverage it needs. He said: 'If you know of a crime, even if you think it won't get resolved, please report it. Unfortunately everything seems to revolve around statistics these days.' Anyone witnessing something of an urgent nature should call 999, as 101 callers might be put on hold.
