I AM writing to say how delighted I was last week to see work being done on the Rose Walk in Tavistock Meadows. It has been so badly neglected this year and the gorgeous roses are being smothered by convolvulus and other weeds.
Many people walk through there and the bowls club have visiting teams who have commented on the poor condition of the walk this year.
Some people have tried tying up the roses, which have sprawled on to the path and some have also tried dead-heading them.
However, this is a major job which should be done far more frequently by the council so that the Rose Walk can once again be a beautiful area for both locals and visitors to enjoy.
