THE Okehampton and District Chamber of Trade ask all our regular and loyal customers to bear with Okehampton during the current upheavals due to the enhancement of Fore Street.
The chamber has always been very keen to promote our town, encouraging people to visit and shop but many customers have been experiencing difficulties and delays recently. While the chamber is behind any move to improve Okehampton, we also understand the need to enter and park with ease. This also applies to our customers who arrive and depart by bus.
We are concerned when there is any loss of car parking spaces and even more so when there is a lack of accessibility. We are in consultation with the local authorities and planners to make sure any enhancement means easy access to Okehampton.
This chamber is very aware that your custom is vital to all our businesses and. as always, you will be met with the friendly service you have come to expect from Okehampton's shops and businesses.
