THAT hardy perennial, the Bridestowe bring and buy plant sale, takes place this year on Saturday, May 29 from 10am to noon at Leawood.

There will be the usual large variety of plants of all sorts, labelled and in pots. If you have a surplus to get rid of or need to buy more, here is the opportunity.

The sale is in aid of the Children's Society and St Bridget's Church. It will also be supporting two other good causes: Treetops Preschool will be running a cakes stall with the addition of some plants of their own and there will be a Traidcraft stall on which there will be a variety of goods to buy from around the world.

There will also be refreshments and a gardener's raffle.

The sale will be signed from the old A30 and from the Fox and Hounds on the A386. All local gardening enthusiasts are invited to come and enhance their gardens in a good cause at this popular, growing event.
