THE developer behind proposals to build 43 homes on land originally allocated for a second primary school will show detailed plans for the site at a public exhibition next week.

The exhibition by Leander Developments takes place in the Charter Hall on Thursday, September 13 between 3pm and 7pm.

The event will enable people to view and comment on the detailed proposals for the development. Representatives from the development team will be present on the day to explain the proposals and answer any questions.

In April, West Devon Borough Council's planning committee approved outline plans by Leander Developments to build houses on the land.

William Knapp from Leander Developments said: 'We look forward to meeting with the local community and illustrating our detailed plans for the development of this site.

'We were pleased with the response received from both the public and West Devon borough councillors in regard to our outline application for the site. We remain committed to consulting with the local community on the more detailed aspects of the scheme and allowing their views and aspirations to be taken into consideration before our reserved matters planning application is submitted to the council.

'I would like to confirm that the proposed number of homes remains at 43 as previously exhibited, with all the open market homes being bungalow and chalet bungalows as previously supported by the community.'
