An application for planning permission to build a new home on land beside the Clovelly Inn in Bratton Clovelly has been submitted to West Devon Borough Council.

The application, 4640/21/FUL, is for a three-bedroom home with bedrooms within the roof space.

EJFP Planning, agents for the applicant, said: ‘The dwelling has been designed in such a way so as to maximise the views towards Dartmoor to the south east. The proposed materials will be timber cladding which is considered appropriate considering the wider rural character surrounding Bratton Clovelly. The proposed roof covering will be slate, which is entirely appropriate in this location.’

People are invited to comment on the application by January 27 on the planning section of West Devon Borough Council’s website.
