PLANNING officers have recommended a controversial application for 110 homes at Butcher Park Hill, Tavistock be refused. The plan by Trand UK Ltd would provide 58 open market homes and 58 affordable homes on a 5.67 hectare site which has current consent for 54 holiday units. A protest by opponents to the plan by Trand UK Ltd is expected to take place at West Devon Borough Council's offices at Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, ahead of a meeting of the planning committee meeting next Tuesday (July 1) where the proposal will be discussed. A total of 73 letters of objection to the scheme has been submitted to the borough council.
