I WOULD be grateful if you would draw your readers' attention to the re-submission by 3H Investments of their proposal to construct 52 timber clad luxury holiday lodges (allowed to be called 'caravans' by planning rules) to the north east of Butcher Park Hill, Tavistock.

This application, No 12806/2009/TAV, is essentially the same as the one unanimously rejected by the planning committee on the recommendation of the planning department in February this year, apart from some additional information. This information includes details on the narrowing of the Brentor Road by 1.2 – 1.35m, so that two lorries can no longer pass each other, and the extension of street lighting into the countryside.

I would urge your readers to make their views known, either for or against, to West Devon Borough Council, either in writing or via 'comment on a planning application' in the 'Planning Home' section of the council website before the closing date for consultations on May 14.
