OUTLINE planning permission for residential development on the old Bostocks garden centre at Mill Road, Okehampton, was granted a renewal by West Devon Borough Council's planning committee last week.
Approval was given subject to a number of conditions including providing a flood defence around the site.
The application was first granted outline permission in 1989.
Planning officers consider that an appropriate residential development would help to enhance this part of the conservation area.
