However with the Ashburton pitch deteriorating, and with uneven or no bounce the Chagford batsmen could not deal with the Ashburton attack, in which Snell provided the only resistance with 18.
Chagford second team were all out for just 89 helped by 25 extras! Coon returned the excellent figures of 8-31 with Harvey picking up 2-12.
This gave Ashburton a win by 45 runs and 17 points, Chagford 5pts.
