THE new pink paint on stonework around the museum windows in Tavistock should soon 'weather' and fade, members of the town council's properties committee were last week told.

Cllr Debo Sellis asked works superintendent Wayne Southall who had chosen the colour of the paint, as she had been approached by several residents about it.

Mr Southall said: 'It's the colour that was agreed with English Heritage and the conservation officer — it will weather down.'
