BATTING first, Bridestowe scored 181 runs for the loss of seven wickets, six of them being catches which was a testament of Buckland?s fielding in such heat.

M Fogerty top scored with 75, supported by S Yates 41. Pick of the Buckland bowlers was P Tomkies with 4-54.

Buckland lost early wickets but thanks to a marathon innings from Mike Pike (57) who was eventually supported by P Tomkies (60), they won the match in the 39th over.
