WEST Devon businesses looking to pick up work from their local councils can go along to a Business Voice meeting on June 12.
All businessmen and women in the area are being invited to the meeting at the council offices, Kilworthy, Tavistock, at 6.30pm.
The keynote speaker will be Kevin Balding, principal procurement officer of Devon Procurement Services, who will talk on the theme: Local Procurement — How to do business with the Councils.
Introductions will be in the hands of Cllr Philip Sanders, leader of West Devon Borough Council, who will also introduce Tim Jones, chairman of the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), who will provide an update and progress report on LEP activities.
Robert Plumb, regeneration office for West Devon, will give a presentation on West Devon businesses' top key priorities and Alan Robinson, West Devon corporate director, will talk on business feedback under the title, You Said, We Did.
A question and answer session will follow each speaker and light refreshments will be available from 6 pm.
