PETER Walters, manager of the Fishleigh Estate near Hatherleigh, holds the impressive Bronze Otter trophy.
The West Devon organic farm was overall winner of the Devon Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group competition.
The farm, between Hatherleigh and the River Torridge on poorly drained Culm Measures clays has been managed by Peter since 1998.
He said that when the judges visited the farm they had been ?very impressed with what has been achieved here is a fairly short space of time?.
The estate also received a cheque for £1,000.
