AFTER Mark Lee?s win in the previous weekend?s Camel Valley C + TC 10 mile time trial near Truro the three members of North Devon Wheelers who had entered Sunday?s Exeter Wheelers sporting time trial at Woodbury were hoping to emulate his performance in their respective categories. For two of them their hopes were proven as Pete Vincent again showed he is one of the best juniors in the South West by winning the Junior category in a time of 42:17. His time was also quick enough to earn him seventh place in the overall classification. Ray Retter also had a winning ride in his age category with a time of 44:05 to win the vets 50-59 category. Unfortunately for Steve Sage his run of poor form continues as he could only just manage to sneak inside the top ten with his time of 42:56 which was only quick enough for ninth place overall. This Sunday both Ray and Pete will be taking part in Tavistock Wheelers sporting time trial between Mary Tavy and Fowley Cross and back to Tavistock.
