THE award-winning Percy's Country Hotel and Restaurant at Virginstow has picked up another accolade to add to its growing list.

The hotel has been named runner up in the conservation category of Environmental Award for Business 2001, run by Devon Environmental Business Initiative (DEBI).

The prestigious awards were presented by Sir Michael Lickiss, chairman of the South West Regional Development Agency at a ceremony held at County Hall in Exeter at the end of last month.

This year, DEBI were inundated with entries to the awards, which are sponsored by Devon Waste Management, NatWest, South West Water, Stagecoach and the Devon Wildlife Trust.
