SOUTH Zeal lost their second league game of the season to a good Honiton side on Saturday.

Despite losing, Zeal played well and could have got a point as they went at Honiton, who were down to ten men, due to a sending off, in the last 20 minutes.

Early in the game Zeal had several chances and could have gone ahead with both Harley Cann and Tom Reilly just failing to finish reasonable chances.

The game was 15 minutes old when Honiton got their goal. Tim Sanderson brought down a Honiton forward in the penalty area, Neil Clift made a great save from the penalty but the referee had the spot kick retaken due to slight encroachment by a Zeal player into the penalty area. This was a harsh decision and Clift was beaten by the retaken kick

Honiton are a strong side but Zeal never stopped trying and produced a good team performance.
