The Swift Print Supplementry Cup

Dartmoor Pumas 3

(Walhampton win 4-3 on penalties after extra time.)

ON a heavy pitch at Staddiscombe near Plymouth on Sunday Walkhampton made easy going and took the lead in this quarter final match after 15 minutes with a goal from Graham Galway.

Walkhampton had chances to increase their lead but Dartmoor Pumas equalised with their first real attacking move to make it 1-1 at half time.

In the second half Walkhampton upped their game and fine work from Mark Toms saw Walkhampton take the lead again after 55 minutes.

Dartmoor Pumas drew level ten minutes later to make it 2-2, with many chances going Walkhampton's way mainly from the hard working Mark Toms.

Graham Galway was a major threat which paid off in a third Walkhampton goal scored by Graham Galway. With five minutes remaining Dartmoor Pumas sent the game into extra time at 3-3, with no more goals in extra time the game went to penalties in which Walkhampton slotted home four of their five penalties by Galway, Toms, captain John Francis and Neil Holden.

Dartmoor Pumas scored three of their five thanks to two great saves by stand in goalkeeper Chris Shutt, which puts Walkhampton FC into the semi finals of the cup.
