I AM writing to invite your readers to consider becoming involved in Pedalling Picnics on June 22-23.

This popular initiative, now in its second year, involves fun cycle rides of 15-20 miles along sections of the National Cycle Network including a picnic or stop at a local café or pub.

Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity, are seeking ride co-ordinators and helpers in your area to plan the rides and help to involve as many people as possible. We will provide a ride leader's pack with all the advice and support needed, a free Pedalling Picnics T-shirt to commemorate the event, and pay any incidental expenses.
