THERE were dogs galore at the charity event, Paws for Coffee morning in Callington.
A talk was given by Nick Ford, of the Memory Café, with a demonstration by Hearing Dog puppies with their handlers.
The event included a bring and buy stall — the remainder of the goods will go to Tregarland Care Home Tavistock, raising money for their summer fete and dog show. Leftover books will go to The Carers Trust via the Co-op.
The total raised was £577.15, £411.73 of which will be divided between Pets As Therapy and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, the Memory Café £107.20 and Callington and District Foodbank £45.30 and £12.92.
Thanks were expressed to Western Power Distribution, South West Water, Ginsters, Tesco and Co-op for their donations.
Callington Primary School was also thanked for allowing collections for Pets As Therapy at its school fair which raised £14.04, as well as everyone who supported and helped during the event.
