A TRIBUTE band with a difference, Whole Lotta Led, will re-create the passion and excitement of the original Led Zeppelin?s music, when they appear live at The Wharf, Tavistock, next month. The band was formed in 1993 as ?No quarter?. They started by playing rock standards, original compositions and the occasional Zeppelin number. However, audiences reacted so enthusiastically to the Zeppelin material that members of the band decided to perform exclusively Led Zeppelin numbers. Changing their name to Whole Lotta Led, they played at first in local clubs but soon progressed to tours of major rock venues all over the UK and Europe. Audiences at Whole Lotta Led shows often span four generations (from the ages of six to 60) and, for many, it is their first experience of Zeppelin music performed ?live?. Unlike many tribute groups, Whole Lotta Led members are not ?look-alikes?, as their sole aim is the faithful reproduction of classic Zeppelin songs. Whole Lotta Led will appear at The Wharf on November 12 at 8pm. For more information, please telephone the box office on 01822 611166.
