A VETERINARY hospital in Tavistock raised several hundred pounds by hosting a successful garden party.

Westmoor Veterinary Hospital entertained visitors with a live jazz band, and face painting by Cher's Funky Faces as well as a bake sale, raffle and refreshments on offer.

There were also tours of the practice, letting clients see what happens behind the scenes and what facilities are on offer.

With all the donations and sales throughout the afternoon, £337.17 was raised for the Margaret Green Animal Rescue Centre.

Staff expressed thanks to everyone for their support and making the event such a success.

Mr and Mrs Woods, Mrs Snell, Mr and Mrs Watkiss and Mr and Mrs Bromhead were the lucky winners of the £250 treatment vouchers and winners for the fancy dress competition were Spiderman in first place, Princess Belle second and Buzz Lightyear third.
