THE Tavistock branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign held its annual party last weekend, when young people who have the disease, their families and friends, got together with supporters to say 'thank you' for help given during the year.

The party was held at Tavistock Methodist Chapel. During the event, donations were made towards the anual holiday project.

Each year, the Tavistock branch organises a holiday for young people suffering from MD. Volunteers act as helpers to around 15 guests from around Devon and Cornwall. The 2010 holiday was to Alton in Hampshire, providing a great week for the youngsters and providing their parents and carers with a well-earned break.
