YELVERTON village park celebrated its third birthday in style recently, with a specially arranged 'party in the park'.
Plenty of people turned up to enjoy the fun on a beautiful sunny Sunday, raising £148 which will be put towards maintenance funds.
The hardworking play park committee has to raise around £750 every year to keep the much-used village facility in good condition — a regular lottery scheme is also run which provides a regular income and participants with the chance of scooping a surprise windfall.
The committee holds regular maintenance working parties — please watch out on the park notice board for further details.
