TAVISTOCK'S Parkinson's Disease Support Group has launched its new programme for the early months of 2010, with visits from a number of guest speakers.
The first talk will be given on January 26 by Sian Day, a Parkinson's Disease specialist nurse, followed by community care worker Claire Webber on February 23.
Mandy Kenyon from the Citizens Advice Bureau will be giving a talk on March 30, and Alistair Kinsey will speak about hearing problems and solutions on April 24.
The Parkinson's group hold meetings at the Anchorage Centre every month and was set up to give support to disease sufferers.
Parkinson's Disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system.
The most common symptoms are a tremor, slowness of movement and stiffness in muscles.
Tavistock Parkinson's Disease Support Group meets on the last Tuesday of every month from 10.30am to noon.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings.
