Devon County Premier Cup round two
Plymouth Parkway 4
Chagford 0
THE general concensus, on their return home, was that Chagford should have done a lot better although they were up against Parkway's table-topping East Cornwall side.
Two behind at the break, the visitors had to press forward and were to concede a further two.
This week, Chagford have a chance to put consecutive defeats behind them as they travel to Riviera Spurs in the Herald Cup. Kick-off 2pm)

IF the Firsts were right to be disappointed with their performance, their colleagues had the right to be disappointed with their result from a cracking cup tie.
The early stages belonged to Chagford, as Whatley and Stocks saw shots well saved by an inspired 'keeper and Whatley's next attempt go just wide.
K&K's young side battled back well and started to win more in midfield, without pressuring the hosts' back four too much.
The second half was just three minutes old when Adam Burke was gifted a chance by Chagford failing to clear their lines. The young forward had time to pick a spot, just inside Geering's right hand post.
In former times, the Reserves may have failed to get back at their opponents but not this team. Driven on by their skipper Jon Philpott, they took the game to K&K and were only denied by the keeper and some last-ditch tackles.
Geering made an all important save on the hour, diving to his right to turn the ball round the post. Gary Mortimore saw an 82nd minute attempt well saved but Ralph got them level three minutes later, almost apologetically knocking the ball in from close range.
With extra-time looming, Geering again came to the rescue with a superb double save from a stylish free-kick and the follow-up.
Extra-time was as entertaining as the rest of the game, with both keepers continuing their fine form. Their defenders, particularly Chagford's Haxton, again put in stunning challenges as legs started to tire.
With just three minutes left, K&K scored the winner and broke Chagford hearts. Geering might have thought he had done enough with two saves in quick succession but the second saw the ball drop invitingly for Robin Lee to hammer it home.
This Saturday the Reserves return to league action with an equally stiff test against Foxhole Utd Reserves, 3pm kick-off.
